It's bad enough that my employer's response to the turmoil in our department is to send us to ridiculous, condescending "Change is Great!!" seminars; now they want us to take an online personality test beforehand:
Surviving and thriving through change is different for everyone. Everyone's understanding of themselves and what the change means to them is very much at a personal level. How each person reacts to change plays an important role in how change impacts you. Learning about or simply being aware of your personality type helps to bring about understanding of change, the impacts, the risks, the opportunities and overall, how you react to change.Never mind the smarmy psychobabble; this fantastic non-learning non-opportunity will be full of that. The inane repitition of literally meaningless phrases? Effortlessly blocked out of my mind through long practice. But an online personality test? Do I even need a reason not to do this?? Even if it were accurate or meaningful (pfft), this is not information that I would share at work. Ever.
